Community work and causes I care about
Back in India, I spent five summers leading my team on community service drives — something I looked forward to every year.
When I moved to the US in August 2019 for graduate school, I knew I had to find new ways to stay connected to that purpose.
Since then, I've contributed to hospital bills for underprivileged patients through Ketto, supported meals programs with local nonprofits in the U.S., India, and supported animal rescue activities.
We raised funds by recycling old newspapers, books, magazines in our colony and donated to 'YouWeCan Foundation'.
The foundation works for cancer affected patients. The organization helps, treats, and takes care of the patients.
We raised a record amount of ₹62,860.
